1. The IPU main board [A] and controller board [B] are separate, connected boards. They are always removed together.
  2. First, disconnect the partition between the boards:
    [A] IPU upper right corner (x1)
    [B] IPU lower right corner (x1)
    [C] HDD lower left (x1)
  3. Remove the partition [A].
  4. Disconnect the HDD [B] (x1).
  5. First, disconnect the IPU (x1,x13,x8)
  6. Disconnect the controller board (x7).
  7. Slowly, remove the connected IPU-Controller board. Do not allow the edge connectors (marked by the red arrow) to bend.

  8. Lay the boards on a flat clean surface.

    • The controller NVRAMs are located at [A].

  9. Separate the boards.
