- Remove the heating roller fusing lamps. (Heating Roller Fusing Lamps)
- Remove the hot roller, heating roller, and fusing belt. (Hot Roller, Heating Roller, Fusing Belt)
- Disconnect both ends of the pressure roller stripper bracket [A] (
x2). (Removing the cover is not necessary.)
- Turn the stripper bracket [A] away from the pressure roller.
Disconnect both ends of the side plate (
x2).
- At re-installation of this plate, the screw must be attached at the center hole [B]. This hole is the default position. The other off-set holes are used to adjust the height of the plate. For more details about this adjustment, see the “Troubleshooting” section.
- Remove the side plate.
- At the rear, disconnect the pressure roller fusing lamp [A] (
x1).
- Remove the pressure roller lamp bracket [A] (
x1).
- At the front, disconnect the pressure roller lamp [A] (
x1).
- Remove the pressure roller lamp bracket [A] (
x1).
At the rear, pull out the pressure roller lamp.
- Always handle the fusing lamps by holding them on the ends. Never touch the surface of a fusing lamp.
- Lay the lamp on a flat clean surface.
- Use spreaders to disconnect the rear end of the pressure roller [A] (
x1).
- Above the rear end of the pressure roller, insert a small driver through the cut-out [A] and push the gear out.
- Remove gear [B].
- Disconnect the pressure roller holding bracket at the rear [A] (
x2).
- Disconnect the pressure roller holding bracket at the front [B] (
x2).
- Grip the holding brackets on each end of the pressure roller, lift straight up, and then remove the roller.
- Lay the roller on a flat clean surface.
