- Open the controller box (Opening the Controller Box)

- Lower the IOB (
x8,
x3,
x4). (Lower the IOB)

- Free the harness on the right side of the motor cage (
x1).

- Free the harnesses on the left side of the motor cage (
x3).

- Free the harness at the upper left corner of the motor cage (
x1).

- Unhook the top corners of the cage, and then remove it (
x2).

- The plastic cage [A] on the transfer timing motor is attached by two pressure release tabs at opposite corners
and
. ([B] shows both tabs with the cage removed.)

- With the tip of a finger or a sharp tool, release the tab [A] at the upper right corner of the cage (
x1). - Release the tab [B] at the lower left corner of the cage (
x1).

- With the tabs released, pull the cage off the motor.

- Unfasten the motor bracket (
x3).

- Remove the bracket with the motor attached.

- Unfasten the motor, and then separate motor and bracket. (
x2).

- When you set the motor on the bracket, make sure that the clamp [A] and connector socket [B] are facing as shown below.

Re-installation
- From the back of the machine, hang the drive belt on the motor drive gear.

- Hold the motor at a slight angle as shown, and then set the bracket tab [A] in its hole.
- Twist the motor to the left, so that the tab [B] snaps into place.

- Fasten the bracket (
x3).

- Open the front doors and pull the drawer out of the machine, so that you can see the transfer timing motor on the back of the registration unit.

- Set the drive belt.

- Connect the motor and clamp the harness (
x1,
x1).

- Hold the plastic motor cage as shown, with the tab [A] on the left and the wide section [B] on the right.
- Slide the cage [C] to the front, and make sure that the tabs at the upper left and lower right corners snap into place.
