Keep EEPROMs away from any objects that can cause static electricity. Static electricity can damage EEPROM data.
- Make sure that you have the SMC report (factory settings). This report comes with the machine.
- Print out the SMC data (SP5-990-001).
- Turn the main power OFF.
- Install an SD card into SD Card Slot 2.
- Turn the main power ON.
- Copy the EEPROM data to an SD card (SP5-824-001).
- Turn OFF the main power. Disconnect the power cord.
- Replace the EEPROM on the BiCU and reassemble the machine.
Connect the power cord. Then turn the main power ON.
When you do this, SC995 will be displayed. However, DO NOT turn off the main power. Continue with this procedure.
- Copy the data from the SD card to the EEPROM (SP5-825-001).
- Enter the BiCU serial number.
- Turn the main power OFF.
- Remove the SD card from SD Card Slot 2.
Turn the main power ON.
- If the BiCU serial number is not entered correctly, SC995-01 (serial number entry error) will occur.
Use SP5-996-001 to set the area code.
- SP5-996-001 is a Factory SP mode. Please contact your Service key-person about how to access this mode.
- The initial value stored in the EEPROM is “1”.
- After the EEPROM is replaced, the display for SP5-996-001 changes to Japanese.
- Refer to the following area code/destination list.
1: Japan
2: North America
3: Europe
4: Taiwan
5: Asia
6: China
7: Korea
- Turn the main power OFF and then ON.
- Input the UP and SP mode settings based on the SMC data.
