When carrying out preventive maintenance after each 400,000 sheets, if noise is being produced because the transport motor drive transmission joints or couplings are wearing, apply grease (Sumico Lubricant Moly Hi-Temp Grease) to the specified parts according to the following procedure:

  1. Open the front door.

  2. Turn the Kc5 handle [A] counter-clockwise, and then pull out the paper path unit [B].

    • When you pull out the paper path unit, take care that the buffer pass unit does not fall down to the front. This is because the paper path unit is heavier than the buffer pass unit.

  3. Apply the grease to the joints of the paper transport unit.
    Place to apply grease: Part [A] of each joint

    Amount of grease to apply:

    - Diameter (width) [A]: Approx. 6 mm
    - Height (thickness) [B]: Approx. 2 mm
